Responsible for the preparation and review of consolidated financial and preparing reports as needed for BOD reporting as well as any month end and quarterly reporting requirements.  Monthly reconciliation of cash accounts, analysis, forecasts, subsequent reporting. Partnering with FP&A and Accounting to understand corporate cash needs. Ensure Treasury policies and procedures, bank resolutions and signatory policies are followed.

What you’ll be doing:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Corporate Reporting:

  • Manage reporting to internal management, majority shareholder and other external parties (i.e. government, banks)
  • Ensure internal management reports comply with US GAAP
  • Coordinate issuance of monthly financial statements of the group and divisions to the Board of Directors on due dates per reporting calendar

Cash Reconciliation/Forecasting:

  • Monitors Cash Flow – Disbursements and Receivables on a daily basis
  • Analyze financial results vs prior period/year and vs budget and prepare quarterly fluctuation reports or external auditors.
  • Reconcile all cash accounts on a regular basis to monitor any updates to the
  • Execute cash flow projections and analysis for both internal reporting as well as corporate reporting requirements.
  • Analyze and consolidate monthly Treasury ‘direct method’ cash flow forecast.
  • Analyze and forecast cash, debt, interest expense/income, investing/borrowing activities, bank fees, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain regular and detailed interaction with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll for analytical and process support.
  • Assess current and potential risks related to cash and advise management of necessary precautionary measures.
  • Identify discrepancies and provide explanations between forecast and actuals
  • Manage reporting to internal management and other external parties (i.e. government, banks)
  • Present Cash Forecast and comparison to prior period to upper management
  • Manage the cash model to ensure alignment to actuals
  • Participate in formulating the budget of the company.
  • Identify discrepancies and provide explanations between forecast and actuals Provide monthly cash forecasting and reporting to management and parent company
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Calculate and Report on DPO and DRO

Risk Management:

  • Build/Oversee relationship with Insurance carrier.
  • Make recommendations on improvements to risk management controls.
  • Managing claims and loss control activities
  • Help implement solutions and plans to mitigate risks as well as any needed contingency plans      

Technical:

  • Keep up-to-date on current research and emerging trends and issues
  • Advise management of impact on business
  • Draft new accounting policies, controller’s memos and other internal accounting procedure moms
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting issues

What we’re looking for:

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting, Business or Finance

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, CPA preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Physical Demands:
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
