The Marketing & Events Specialist leads marketing, events and communication initiatives designed to drive awareness, traffic, engagement, and sales for Starboard Resort’s land-based retail portfolio across all segments (luxury, family, all-inclusive, wellness & spa, adventure, lifestyle, casino & entertainment and destination resorts) and geographic locations. In addition, the position will provide some support to the luxury and ultra-luxury cruise segment in Starboard Group’s dedicated luxury division, Starboard Luxury. This role leverages multiple channels to tell compelling stories about products, brands, and guest experiences in boutiques that specialize in vacation retail offerings on land and at sea. The Marketing & Events Specialist works closely with the Manager / Senior Manager of Marketing & Events, individual resort or cruise line Marketing contacts, leaders and buyers across Starboard Group (Cruise, Resort & Luxury) to design, plan and deliver campaigns, promotions, events, activations, and experiences that enhance the vacation journey beyond traditional retail. The role also partners closely with the visual merchandiser in these segments to create a cohesive and compelling vibe that attracts customers and keeps them coming back.

Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands:
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
